Bangkok Airport Hotel – From Low Budget Guesthouses to 5 Star Hotels

There are several great Hotels in the Bangkok Airport Vicinity.
Low budget first:
One guesthouse for low budget that I recommend highly is called ‘Sananwan Palace’. It is a pleasure to stay in this family run and operated oasis. It’s just 25 minutes by taxi from the airport.

Room Rates

300 Baht room with Fan

600 Baht room with Air Con.

Sanawan Palace Guesthouse has a nice swimming pool, a sauna and gym. Room service and delicious food at your fingertips. It’s a little oasis in the Bangkok area and you will enjoy the old market at the canal close by and the new temple which is only a 5 minute walk from the guesthouse.

This guesthouse is in a district called Bangpli and it is a little bit difficult to find for taxi drivers but they do offer a pick up at the airport which costs just as much as hiring a taxi at the airport.

Experience a Delicious Journey in Bangkok

Right from the Bangkok hotels to the Suvarnabhumi International Airport, shopping at the night markets to a noisy ride in a tuk tuk, the capital of Thailand is always capable of astonishing you. Visiting the city of Bangkok is a one-of-a-kind experience that no other city in the world can offer you. The ideal time to visit this city would be between November and February, as you will find the place to be relatively cooler than the rest of the year. Bangkok is well connected by most airlines that land at the Suvarnabhumi Airport while two domestic airlines still use the older Don Muang Airport.

Once you land in Bangkok, there are a number of activities that can keep you entertained, but the food is something you can’t afford to miss out on. With nearly 50,000 eateries in this city, you will never run out of options regardless of the cuisine you might be interested in. Thai food will be in abundance however, there is absolutely no shortage of classy restaurants catering to international cuisines with world-class standards. Depending on your budget, you can enjoy a great meal at a hygienic outlet for anywhere between 300 to 3000 Baht.

Walk on a Delectable Path

Known for its unique cuisine, Bangkok offers a delicious array of dishes with a fusion of Portuguese, Indian, Malaysian and Chinese recipes with the entire city enveloped with an aroma of delectable fragrances. As a talented race, the people of Bangkok have utilized fresh produce from the rich agricultural land of Thailand and have transformed their cuisine with a range of soups, dips, salads, broths, curries and other flavorsome dishes. Blending the goodness of Nature with fresh spices and herbs such as ginger, garlic, green and red chillies, spring onions, lemongrass and various ingredients, Bangkok offers its visitors a wholesome and wonderful spectrum of dishes that would tempt any palate.

The best of Bangkok’s restaurants are mainly located in Sukhumvit where you can find every single cuisine of the world represented be it Vietnamese, Burmese or a unique fusion of both. Prices in this area might lean towards a higher side but are worth it in all means.

For strict vegetarians, a simple tip to avoid meat ingredients in your food even by mistake is to get used to the word “jay”, which means vegetarian. There are certain areas where you can exclusively find vegetarian food, for example the Khao San Road is one such tourist friendly area.

Though not as hygienic, the Bangkok street food is rated as the most delicious food of city. Food carts can be found all over the place without requiring you to walk more than a 100 meters to find one. The Pad Thai, a national dish, is something you would want to experiment with when it comes to Thai food.
